Together We Win

The success of our campaign comes down to volunteers. We have the winning message, but we have to get it out to voters! In the face of Big Money politics, we rely on our campaign volunteers to level the playing field.

If you are interested in volunteering with the campaign, we would love to have your time and talent, as much or as little as you are able to give.

We need volunteers to help with any of the following:

1. Canvassing: Participate in efforts to collect signatures to get Andrew on the general ballot for the Nov 3rdelection.  THIS IS THE PRIORITY until August 4th.    It involves approaching people to sign a formal petition sheet – training and all the materials needed will be provided.

We are looking for a time commitment of 10 hours a week, including weekends, to attend such events as parades, fireworks and farmers markets to help us collect 5000 signatures to get Andrew on the ballot.

2. Phone Banking: Make phone calls for various purposes such as: asking people to find an event at which signatures are being collected to sign the petition; promoting Andrew’s candidacy and positions on hot-topic issues such as Medicare for All; and getting out the vote.

We’re looking for people who can commit at least 6 hours a week from home and technology which can be used with our phone banking system (ScaleToWin). Training and guidance will be provided, as well as the scripts and contacts for the actual phone banking campaigns.

3. Communications with traditional media: Participate in specific efforts to promote Andrew’s candidacy and/or to highlight issues significant to the campaign contacting print and on-line media organizations using such things as “Letters to the Editor” submissions and contacting media organizations to encourage them to arrange live interviews with radio and TV newspeople.    Scripts and templates will be provided for each effort.

4. Research: This would involve any number of different tasks such as: monitoring and reporting on the activities and public statements from the Democratic and Republican candidates; looking into questions about specific issues and reporting findings; investigating and reporting details on another candidates positions on some issue or topic; or ferreting out data on impacts of some policy.
