Who We Are
Andrew Rice for Congress is a principal campaign committee registered in the state of Connecticut. For the purposes of this document, “the campaign”, “we”, or “us” may be used interchangeably to refer to the Andrew Rice for Congress campaign, or the candidate Andrew Rice personally.
What We Collect and Why
As part of our campaign activities, we may collect certain data about supporters, voters, and visitors to our site and/or social media. This data may be used:
To distribute information about our candidate and campaign through email, SMS (text), social media, and other platforms
To solicit donations or volunteers for the campaign and candidate
To communicate with users through direct messaging, such as responding to contact form submissions or social media messages
Our campaign may recieve your data from one or more of the following sources:
You submit a contact form on our website that includes your identifying information
You sign up to receive communications from us via email or mobile voice/messaging, either using a web contact form or a physical sign-up sheet
You engage with us on social media
Your information is provided to us from public voter registration data, or from local and state political party organizations
Our campaign does not collect or store identifying or analytical data from data brokers, website trackers, or other non-consensual aggregators of private data.
The information we may compile and store for you includes:
First and last name
Phone numbers
Email addresses
Physical address / geographical location
Political party affiliation
Any information you submit through our contact forms or other formats
How We Store and Protect Your Data
All campaign data is safeguarded against unauthorized access. Data is stored on secure, encrypted platforms with strict access controls. Campaign members and volunteers are provided with minimal access to the necessary data to conduct the activities described above.
The campaign does not share, rent, or sell any of our data with any third parties or affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. This includes contact data such as email addresses and mobile phone numbers.
How You Control Your Data
You may request removal from our email marketing campaigns using the link found at the bottom of every message.
You can unsubscribe from SMS/mobile marketing by replying STOP to any message received from the campaign, or by following the instructions included with the messages.
You may also contact us at info@riceforct.com to request removal from our communications platforms as well as the deletion of any other data associated with your identity. Such requests may take up to 10 business days to fulfill.
SMS Messaging
By signing up to receive mobile messages from the campaign, you agree to receive occasional messages regarding upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, donation requests, or urgent updates about the campaign from Andrew Rice for Congress. The campaign may send you up to 3 messages per week. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message received from the campaign.
