Sign Up for the Primary Ballot Petition

There are two ways of getting onto the August 11th Democratic Primary Ballot

  1. On May 11, the Connecticut Democratic Party will host its statewide Congressional convention and hold a vote for candidates from the delegates sent by members of the Democratic Town Committee (DTC). Any candidate who receives at least 15% of the delegate vote is eligible to run in the Democractic Primary.

    • The DTC Chairpeople have wide discretion on who to send as delegates and will most likely send Rosa DeLauro loyalists.

  2. After the close of the convention, there is a 42 day window to petition for additional candidates to be included in the primary. Any candidate that collects signatures from 2% of registered Democrats in the district during that window will be eligible for the Democratic Primary.

    • Every signature will be challenged, so realistically our campaign needs to collect at least 5,500 signatures between April 16 and June 9

By filling out the form below, you will be added to our list of potentional petitioners. We will contact you during the petition period and ask you to submit your official signature to get us on the Democratic Primary ballot.

This form is not your official signature, and it is not a commitment to vote for me in the primary. This form only provides us with your contact info so that we can request your signature during the petition period.

Also, please note that only registered Democrats in CT District 3 are eligible to petition. If you are registered with another party affiliation (or no affiliation) or you do not officially reside in District 3, your signature will not count towards our petition.
